The objectives of R&D at Nijhuis Pompen BV are:
- development and programming of tools in support of analyses and design and configuration
of pumps and pump systems
- development of optimized concepts and prototypes according to customer requirements
- consultation on performance and operational aspects of pumps and pump systems

- TurboSel – pump selection software
- TurboLab – data acquisition software for performance
monitoring and testing
- TurboPro – design software for the creation of
geometry of turbo machine components
Software utilized by R & D
- TascFlow – analyses of 3D flow in turbo machines
- CFX-5 – analyses of 3D flow in pump systems, e.g. intake sumps
- FlowMaster – steady state and transient analyses of fluid transport systems
- CosmosWorks – finite element structural analyses
